Just Here for My Starter Kit

Well today Ashley was making her way to the great Professor Crowe’s Pokemon lab across the street from Pueri City. It was scorching hot outside and she really wanted to go inside where the cool air conditioner would blow. Lucky on the other hand who was Ashley’s Snivy enjoyed the sun outside and thought of it as a privilege after the many times it had stormed. “How can you not be hot?” asked Ellisa while walking up the stairs which led to the door to Crowe’s laboratory. Lucky giggled a bit. “Sniv sniv”. Ellisa just shrugged it away and decided to continue her action of ringing the doorbell. It would be awfully rude to barge into someone else’s place without permission. She then waited with Lucky by her side to see if he or any of his lab assistants would answer the door.

Boy, what a scorcher today was.

Professor Crowe turned every fan (11) in the lab towards his desk, and still, he was sweating up a storm. No matter what he tried, he simply could not manage to cool off. He had always been told he had ice in his veins, but now he couldn't wish for anything more than that. He couldn't even enjoy a steaming, hot cup of coffee for fear that his body may experience a meltdown.

A rapping at his door caused him to pull on something respectable, despite the hot weather, and answer the knocking intruder. He looked the stranger over up and down before speaking. He had almost forgotten he had another wave of rookies passing through today to get their starter kits.

He sighed miserably as a cloud of heat was swept into his face from outside. "Hot as hell today, eh? Come on in, cool off for a bit." Even for a grouchy, irritable curmudgeon like Crowe, it was too hot a day to dampen it with snappy put-downs.

He might even be nice today.
